About Ziggy Stardust!

Ziggy Stardust is my 8 year old Pomeranian. He was found on the streets of San Jose, matted, covered in burrs, with a mouth full of rotted teeth. The shelter had to pull all of his teeth and shave his beautiful orange coat. But that didn't damage his sweet personality.

He loves cuddles and making friends with strangers. When we visit the dog park, he'll make his rounds to say high to all the owners. He gives special attention to the people that are sitting on the benches or are crouching down to greet another dog. When we go home (I'll always have to carry him), and he'll want to nap and cuddle for the rest of the night.

When we adopted him in early March 2019, he already knew how to sit, high five, and paw. Since then he's learned drop, stand, and stay. He's highly treat motivated, so basic commands have been a breeze. I can't imagine training a dog who doesn't like food!

I created this blog to share the joys I've experienced in adopting a senior Pomeranian, and I hope sharing my stories, ideas, and dog-friendly recipes inspires fellow dog lovers!
